EXCERPT:
"Charlie set the National Geographic magazine on his lap, removed his bifocals, tipping
his cap as Tavin exited the train.  Tavin sifted through the sea of passersby, making his
way through the Seattle train station. He glanced back at the train, smiling, wondering
which new passenger would occupy his vacated seat. How had good karma finally
discovered Tavin? How had a chance seating assignment, 29D, shifted his destiny?  Or
was it by chance? Fixated on the possibility of finding Nora, Tavin reflected on Charlie's
final instructions. “Let nothing deter you from finding love!  Love is paramount, Tavin!
There is nothing greater!
"

SYNOPSIS:
Tavin is on a train from Wilsonville, Idaho to Seattle, Washington to find Nora, whose
letters were inadvertently delivered to him.  In each letter, Nora reveals how she's
growing stronger, how she's been sober for 99 days and is trying to recapture the
dreams she'd lost. For three months Tavin anticipated Nora's letters but now she has
stopped writing. He takes a chance and writes Nora, explaining the truth about
receiving her letters.  He encourages her to continue the path of sobriety and chasing
her dreams.  Two months later, Tavin is surprised when Nora writes back. For the next
four months, they exchange letters, creating a bond neither expected.  Now he is on a
train to find her.

On the train, Tavin is seated next to Charlie, who has taken this same train ride every
year for the past 40 years. Tavin believes he is seated next to a stranger but discovers his
connection to Charlie will put his life into perspective. For 60 years, Charlie has kept a
secret from his family. He has waited for this moment to tell Tavin the story that alters
each of their lives.
"A blank piece of paper is God's way of telling us how hard it to be God."
